Hello Readers!

The Vishuddhi Chakra represents that time in the evolution of humanity when the need for harmony and collective living became important. It represents everything to do with the cohesive nature of the human, and the ability of the human being to rise above petty differences and strive to experience the unity of the Spirit.

Vishuddhi Chakra is placed in the neck region of the spinal cord. This centre corresponds to Cervical Plexus, which regulates the functioning of ears, nose, throat, neck, teeth, tongue, gestures etc.

Vishuddhi Chakra is governed by Shri Radha Krishna

Vishuddhi Chakra has Sixteen petals and is represented by Blue colour. It is aligned with the purifying element of Ether.

Qualities of Vishuddhi Chakra:-

  1. Positive relationships
  2. Pleasant personality
  3. Effective communication
  4. Collective Consciousness
  5. Divine Diplomacy
  6. Politeness
  7. Playful Witness
  8. Detachment
  9. Sense of Humour

The principle of Vishuddhi, represented by Shri Krishna, is the “Lila”, or game. It means seeing life in a completely detached, like a play, sometimes comic, sometimes dramatic, or all of the everyday. Having posting does not mean indifference, but not be attacked or involved in what happens around us. It is also important for our spiritual growth while trying to survive in the modern world. The nourishing of the Vishuddhi Chakra provides us with a sense of detachment which let us witness the PLAY of life to survive in the modern world. As a result, we avoid being brought down by things which seem traumatic but are in fact simply EVENTS which we pass through to reach the other side. This does not mean that we stop accepting responsibility for our actions, or that we GIVE UP on life. It simply gives us the means to maintain a sense of perspective when we are faced with overwhelming emotional situations. We become a witness of the GAME and can keep a distance from our involvement and thoughts, from our planning and conditionings, from our emotions.

Play is also enjoying it, but we can not do it without being in the Present. In fact, usually, it happens that we get involved with our emotions or our thoughts that bring our attention to the past or the future and they are unable to rejoice that we live in the present. The emotions lead us to thoughts of the past, or we are identified with physical sensations, body, which disappear quickly leaving us unsatisfied. Designing, thinking about the future or imagine things that do not exist except in our heads for the door but away from reality. So it was only in that we reject anything that does not exist or does not exist yet (past and future), delete the sense of dissatisfaction and enjoy watching the performance in a detached way of life around us.

The Vishuddhi Chakra is the centre of Divine diplomacy where human
beings learned to overcome adversity through artfulness. At this step
of evolution, Shri Krishna descended to proclaim the greatness of God. He authorized the use of force as a last resort to uphold Dharma, but let this the forces of righteousness. Not be mistaken for violence in the wake of fundamentalism and racialism. The great battle of Mahabharata fought at this time, symbolised that truth is eventually victorious.

As cells in that body, united by the thread of Kundalini, we should meditate on that oneness, our brotherhood in spirit with humanity and with the universe. We should not divorce ourselves from the whole with feelings of inferiority or arrogance. The ‘rugged individual’ inhabits his own private myth. It is for us to become universal beings. We must seek ourselves in others, feel the spirit of another person, with the attitude that we are going to smell a flower’s fragrance, with great sweetness and find ‘universality through sweetness, the sweetness of relationships.

A key feature of the Vishuddhi is the sense of community that develops when we are in society when we are integrated within a group of people. In meditation, this feels even more, because when we meditate in the community, in two or more, it becomes much easier and efficient.

Our growth into a collective being is very easy that is through our deepening awareness of vibrations. As we start to become one with the whole (as the microcosm awakens and becomes an integral part of the macrocosm) we begin to feel the direct evidence of the subtle system or our Chakras and on the Chakras of others. This is what is meant by the actualisation of Sahaja Yoga, this actual evidence of our enlightenment which we experience on our fingertips, and in our bodies. It is a fact that, as we become a collectively conscious person, we can work on the spiritual systems of others simply by recording the state of their Chakras on our fingers and directing our vibrations to their areas of need as required. It is rather like acquiring a new perception, a natural new sense that of subtle vibrations. This brotherhood of humanity is the goal that seekers have been searching for over many lifetimes, and it is starting its manifestation at this point in time, not just through myth and conception but through direct evidence.
